Welcome to the NRS 2026

Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Education (SLAAED) is organizing its 3rd National Research Symposium (NRS) 2026 on the theme of “Education to be Undeceived in a deceived world: Bridging Research and Practice ” on 17 th September 2026. The purpose of this event is to provide a platform to researchers of education-related disciplines to disseminate their findings, knowledge exchange and knowledge creation towards the empowerment of the education system in Sri Lanka.

This theme includes formative and summative assessment, authentic assessment, digital assessment, feedback practices, assessment literacy, quality assurance, and evidence-based approaches to improving educational outcomes.

Gender Education

Exploring the role of education in promoting gender equity, inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunities for all learners. This theme encourages research on gender-responsive pedagogy, access and participation, educational experiences, representation, stereotypes, leadership, and policies that contribute to more equitable educational environments.
